AGIOS ONOUFRIOS BEACH
Located in the southern part of Chania, the city beach: NEA CHORA .
The village Agios Onoufrios is in the northern side of the city, which is now a suburb of Chania. The jewel of the settlement: the Agios Onoufrios beach.
So this stretch of coast can be considered the northern beach of Chania.
This beach is completely different, from the south located Neo Chora! – it is a lovely bay next to the big town, on the Cape Akrotiri: this is where the peninsula begins.
Next to the beach is the Chapel dedicated to St. Onoufrios, which is the namesake of the place. June 12. – the celebrate of St. Onoufrios.
The crystal clear turquoise shallow water, the golden sandy beach, and the hills surrounding the bay:
give the landscape a unique atmosphere
The charm and attraction of the Cretan bays:
– in the summer months and early autumn (even in September) the sea water is pleasantly warm: 27 degrees or higher!

There is a small harbor next to the beach. At the entrance we are greeted by an older boat, but while walking we can admire the fishing boats, or modern motorboats, yachts.
